Gold Dipped Laptop Case {DIY}

The idea for this case came to me spontaneously in a coffee shop and I will admit that it looked a little bit sharper in my mind. However, it was easy, cheap and can easily be removed with nail polish remover (I think at least I haven't actually tried).

 {What you'll need}
1 plastic laptop case -- mine is an Incase
Gold acrylic paint
Fine gold glitter
Masking Tap
Paintbrush
Work surface board
Paper plates - for paint

 {First}
Using a ruler (or your eyeballs if you are straight-lined-skilled) measure a gap about 1-1/2 to 2 inches from the bottom of the case. Line the tape at the top of the gap line.
 {Second}
Spread a layer of paint on the case (thick enough for the glitter to grab).
{Third}
Pour the glitter over the paint, covering every surface
 {Fourth}
Tap of the excess glitter into the garbage and let the paint dry completely. Remove the tape when the paint is dry. Line another piece of tape for the second gold strip and paint. You may have to do two coats of paint. Make sure you let the paint dry completely before removing the tape.

And voila!
